FGA awarded Event of the Year by IU
We are pleased that FGA was awarded the “Event of the Year” award by the IU Office of Student Organizations. This award is given to a student organization that held an outstanding event for the IU community during the past year. This is a significant recognition since there are over 700 student organizations at IU.

Are you looking for a way to make a positive impact in your community and help future international students? Look no further than our upcoming furniture pickup event! BISM is dedicated to helping new international students transition well into academic life, and we’re excited to expand our services to include furniture donations that will benefit future international students. Starting next weekend, we’ll be visiting homes and businesses throughout the community to collect gently used furniture items that are in good condition.
Volunteer Opportunity: Help Pickup Furniture this Summer
Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity this year? Join us for our 2023 Furniture Pick-Up event! Our goal is to deliver 1,500 pieces of furniture to 500 international students, and we need your help. This year, we’re focusing on pick-ups during the first two weeks of May, and we’re looking for volunteers to help us out. With snacks provided on evening shifts and lunch on Saturdays, this is a great opportunity to make a difference while having fun with a great group of people. And with our new and improved pick-up process, there’s a job for everyone, even if you don’t have a truck or trailer. Join us for a fulfilling experience and a chance to give back to your community!

As the school year draws to a close, it’s time to start thinking about what to do with your furniture. Your donations will be given to incoming students in need, and by doing so, you’re not only helping others but also promoting sustainability on campus by reducing waste. With designated drop-off locations and volunteer assistance, donating your furniture has never been easier. So clear out your space and make a difference in someone’s life today!
